SCULPTRA®

Sculptra® is a collagen stimulating, poly-L-lactic acid (PLAA)- based treatment that, once injected, begins to stimulate collagen production, restoring the skin's structure and volume.

How long do results last?

Correction is gradual and subtle (over the course of a couple of months) and results may be visible for more than 2 years.

Multiple sessions may be required to obtain desired results.

What should I do pre-treatment?



One should avoid alcohol for 3 days and any product(s ) containing aspirin, Ibuprofen, Ginko Biloba, St. John's Wort or high doses of Vitamin E for 1 week prior to the treatment.   This will decrease the risk of bruising and bleeding at the treatment site.

What should I do post-treatment?
 

Intermittent application of ice is advised for 24-48 hours post-treatment.  Refrain from aerobic exercise or excessive sun exposure for a few days.   There may be redness, swelling and minor bruising at the injection sites.  Ask your provider if they suggest the use of certain OTC creams that may help with healing, such as Arnica gel.

After injection, follow the Rule of 5.

~ Massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days after your treatment.
